On the subject of his new costume, Mr. Methane shared:

It's great (to have the Mr. Methane costume finally on sale), it's another item on my wish list of Mr. Methane merchandise that I've always dreamt of being able to put out there. Back in the early 90's when I went into the farting game, the boy band Take That were also making their debut with not just performances but a whole range of spin off merchandise and I thought, that's great I want to be the Take That of Farting.

Mr Methane, a professional flatulist with a huge and growing fan base, has appeared on Channel 4's Eurotrash, and E Television's Howard Stern Show and was catapulted to fame when he auditioned in the 2009 series of Britain’s Got Talent, where he announced his intention to 'put the art into fart' but heroically failed to make it through to the live finals after being buzzed out by all three judges during his performance of the Blue Danube waltz.
